Ethical Watchdog
The Ethical Watchdog Agent is a decision-support tool developed to ensure that resource allocation and task assignments in industrial settings comply with established ethical principles.
It continuously monitors allocation outcomes, verifying that decisions align with predefined ethical guidelines. This proactive mechanism helps identify potential ethical issues early, before they escalate into significant problems.
When the system detects a deviation from ethical criteria, it automatically alerts the decision-maker, signalling that some parameters may have exceeded acceptable thresholds. This early warning system enables rapid review and correction of decisions that could lead to unfair or unethical results.
Following an alert, the decision-maker can trigger a renegotiation process through the Multi-Agent System. In this phase, the allocation is recalibrated by considering both performance indicators and ethical constraints. This iterative negotiation ensures that the final decision achieves a balance between operational efficiency and ethical compliance. By integrating the Ethical Watchdog Agent into daily operations, organizations gain a balanced approach that unites efficiency with ethical oversight.
Beyond its technical function, the tool enhances accountability, transparency, and trust, aligning industrial decision-making with human-centric and societal values.
A demonstration video illustrates the operation of the Ethical Watchdog in a worker allocation to production lines scenario.
Truck Loading Service
The Truck Loading Service is a decision-support tool developed to optimize how containers are loaded onto trucks, ensuring better space utilization and reduced transport costs. By matching container dimensions with available truck capacities, the service automatically proposes efficient loading strategies for each shipment.
The service represents a step forward in transforming a traditionally manual, experience-based task into a data-driven decision process. Built upon principles of bin-packing optimization, the system balances computational efficiency with real-world practicality, adapting dynamically to shipment size and logistical constraints. It also enables the detection of inefficiencies – such as underutilized trucks – allowing users to make proactive logistics decisions based on that insight.
A demonstration video illustrates the service in operation, by walking through a real-world scenario like sample order.
